Man At The Door
The virginal Anne gets an unexpected visitor at her home, and this simple premise devolves into a whirlwind of sex and terror in this crazy grindhouse adult "roughie," THE MAN AT THE DOOR. The intruder assaults Anne, ties her up and performs degrading torture on her. As the movie progresses and more people arrive, they also fall victim to this man's violent desires. Who will get out of this nightmare alive? This mysterious hour-long feature played at the bottom of double-bills at adult film houses in 1976 without much fanfare, and without any identifying credits except for a standard "A FILM BY JOHN RUYTER" title card at the head of the film. It's explicit, violent, uncomfortable and a real oddity of '70s adult sin-ema! Presented here in a well-worn, scratchy "grindhouse" theatrical print for maximum sleaze.
