Following the explosion of a nearby nuclear power plant, the people of Pripyat, Ukraine, desperately seek refuge and answers. Now exposed to the toxic chemicals emitting from the nuclear plant, their lives hang in the balance. While attempting to grapple with the unthinkable chaos, men, women, and their families go to great lengths to keep imminent dangers in check. All the while, one question looms overhead: why did this happen?
